TWENTY-SIX STEPS bring you down to the quiet, cozy lakefront home with a sizeable yard, nice-sized deck, three bedrooms (one queen, one full, three twins) and two baths. It is situated on a quiet, well-maintained road. Canoe or fish in the private lake with the picturesque mountain as a backdrop. (Please note: motorized boats are not allowed on this lake. Sorry...)
Nearby towns play host to many events, such as Americade, the World's Largest Yard Sale, the Adirondack (hot air) Balloon Festival, weekly fireworks and boat cruises on Lake George, hiking, exploring caves, waterfalls, and much more!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
During June, July, August, September:
$1500 per week, minimum one-week stay, plus $500 deposit. Check-in on Saturday at noon and check-out Friday at noon.
OFF SEASON:
$600 PER WEEK, WITH A $300 DEPOSIT. NO PRO-RATES. Check-in days and times vary, according to occupancy.
PHOTO ID AND SIGNED LEASE AGREEMENT REQUIRED.
CAN WE SWIM IN THE LAKE?
Yes! It's very clean. Bring your snorkel equipment! We also have a canoe, a row boat, and life jackets for children (50-90 lbs.)and adults. SWIM AND USE OUR EQUIPMENT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
HOW CLOSE IS THE WATER?
It is down the hill, which is good if you have children because they can't wander right out the door and into the water. (Please note: the deck has locking gates to help keep smaller children safe. For example, a child in a walker.)
IS THERE A TELEPHONE?
Yes, with unlimited free calling within the domestic U.S.
IS THERE A TV?
Whilte there is a 26" flat screen TV for DVD viewing, there is no cable TV, which allows guests to get back to the basics and unwind…playing darts, poker, board games, having drinks with friends, listening to music, canoeing, fishing, and roasting marshmallows around a crackling fire underneath a starry sky.
HOW CLOSE ARE GROCERY STORES AND RESTAURANTS?
The closest town is about five miles away; there are several little towns in both New York and in around-the-corner Vermont. (The nearest movie theater is 30 miles away in Rutland, Vermont. There is a drive-in movie in Glens Falls, 30 miles away.)
HOW FAR IS IT FROM...?
From NYC: A little over four hours.
From Niagara Falls and the Canadian border: About 4-1/2 hours.
From Albany: 85 miles.
WHAT AGES DO YOU RENT TO?
Anyone under 25 must be accompanied by a parent with photo I.D. Additionally, the legally responsible person(s) must sign a legal lease agreement.
CAN WE BRING OUR PET?
I am sorry but we do not allow pets. Please don't ask...
HOW CLOSE IS GOOD HIKING?
The Bomoseen Trails, an 8-mile hiking loop, is 11 miles away in Hydeville, VT. They also have shorter trails. (The Vermont state line is about five miles from the house.) Visit a Web page called wildernet for information on this hiking trail.
